🛠 Reliable Stand – Build Overview
The Reliable Stand is the most consistent & stable way to mount your Founders Edition Shot Clock. It is heavy, durable, and can be easily modified to increase it’s weight or surface area. This stand requires more equipment, skill, and time to build and assemble compared to the recommended solution.
🧩 What You'll Be Building
This build is split into two parts:
- A Contrete Bucket Base
- A Tripod
The Contrete Bucket Base uses:
- A 5-Gallon Bucket
- A 16” 4x4 Wood Post
- 40lb of Concrete
- 2x ¾" 36" steel pipe (threaded on both ends)
- A ¾" NPT Pipe Flange
- 4x Wood Deck Screws
- Spare pieces of wood/screws used in assembly process
The Tripod Base uses:
- A 10ft ABS Pipe
- Nylon Paracord
- 3x 3D-Printed Feet
- 3x 3D-Printed Tieoffs
- A 3D-Printed Gusset
- A 3D Printed Center Ring
- 3x 2” ¼-20 Machine Screws
- 6x 0.5” ¼-20 Machine Screws
- 1x 0.375 ¼-20 Machine Screws
- 3x ¼-20 Nuts
- 7x thin ¼-20 Nuts
The end result is a durable, heavy-duty stand that is best for high intensity situations.
This build is to create one stand, for one shot clocking unit. To get stands for both units in your set, you must build two of these stands.
🛒 How It Comes Together
- The Bucket provides a container to hold the 4x4 mounting post and concrete
- A ¾" NPT Pipe Flange provides a mounting point for the pipe on the post
- Additional tripod fixture can be attached to increase surface area & overall stability of the stand
The process will require cutting the wood post and ABS pipe and drilling several holes and screws. You will also need to mix/pour concrete.
