Tripod Attachment 3D-Prints
🖨️ 3D Printed Parts
The tripod attachment for the standard ¾“ pipes requires multiple 3D printed parts. Most serve as fixtures to construct the tripod, but some serve as jigs to assist with measuring & drilling.
🔧 What 3D Printed parts are needed?
The tripod requires:
- 3x 3D-Printed Feet
- 3x 3D-Printed Tieoffs
- A 3D-Printed Gusset
- A 3D Printed Center Ring
- An ABS Pipe Drilling Jig

🖨️ 3D Printed Tripod Gusset
This gusset serves as the main attachment point for the 1-½” ABS piping to the standard ¾“ metal piping. The 3 spokes of the TPU gusset fit snugly in the inner diameter of the ABS piping, with a hole for using a screw to secure the connection. There is a slot for a thin ¼-20 nut to fit, allowing a short (less than ⅜”) machine screw to apply pressure, roughly fixing the gusset to the metal pipe.

🖨️ 3D Printed Feet
These TPU feet slot into the 1-½“ inch ABS piping and remain fit by friction. The TPU filament ensures the feet stay suggly fit into the ends of the pipes, as well as maintaing stability with the ground.

🖨️ 3D Printed Tieoffs
These tie-offs allow for paracord to tieback the ABS pipe to the center pole, providing additional stability. These parts fit around the outer diameter of the 1-½“ inch ABS piping. The slots fit thin ¼-20 nuts, with the hole accommodating ¼-20 machine screws.
The model may also serve as a jig if you wish to drill mounting holes into the ABS piping.

🖨️ 3D Printed Center Tieoff Ring
This part fits around the outer diameter of standard ¾“ metal piping. The 3 smaller holes surrounding the center hole will allow for a nylon paracord to be looped through.

🖨️ PETG Pipe Jig
To properly affix the ABS legs to the TPU pipe gusset, holes must be drilled into the ABS pipe. To facilitate this, a jig has been designed to easily place a hole 1” down the ABS pipe.
Ensure the jig is printed in PETG filament. Printing using TPU may alter the fit or location of drilled hole.
