Here are answers to the most common questions we get about the tinyLeague™ ecosystem.


⚙️ General Use

“Can I use the Founders Edition without a stand?”

Yes — but the unit cannot sit flat on a table or floor, and sitting on a floor or table is far from optimal visibility and safety. We strongly recommend mounting it on a stand. Check out our stand overview for more info.


“How long does the battery in my module last on a full charge?”

With a 10,000mAh battery bank, you can expect 8–12 hours of continuous use depending on the health of the battery and how frequent use is.


“Can I use any power bank?”

Yes — any USB-A battery pack capable of 5V 2.4A output should work. Your battery may not fit in the holder, but this is not the end of the world. We recommend using a flat or compact model that fits securely inside the base housing area.


"Is the antenna required for use?"

While you may be able use your unit without the antenna connected, we highly recommend you utilize it. It significantly increases the range and stability of your wireless connection.

"Do I need to update my unit when the app prompts me to?"

Yes! OTA (Over-the-Air) updates ensure that your unit has the most up to date firmware. If your unit has out of date firmware, unpredictable errors may occur!

📶 Connectivity & App

“Do I need to pair the clock through my phone’s Bluetooth settings?”

No. Always connect from within the tinyLeague™ Hub app, under Settings → Available Devices. Connecting from Android’s Bluetooth menu can cause unpredictable issues.


“Why can’t I see my device in the app?”

Make sure the clock is powered on and showing the "scanning for connection" blue dot. Restart both the module and application.


“Is there an iOS version of the app?”

Not yet — the app is currently Android-only. iOS compatibility is coming soon!


🛠 Hardware & Setup

“Is the clock waterproof?”

No — the Founders Edition is not weatherproof and should be kept dry. Outdoor use is possible under cover.


“What happens if the clock falls over?”

We’ve designed the system to be durable, but a hard fall may damage internal components or the LED segments. Always test stand stability before live use. We always recommend using additional/extra weight on the base of the unit.

“Can I leave my Founders Edition overnight in my car?”

While we have tried to build a durable product, DSS does not recommend leaving your shot clock modules overnight in your vehicle, especially during very cold weather.


“Does DSS provide warranty or repairs?”

We offer limited support for Founders Edition units. Email support@digitalsportssolutions.com or reach out to a DSS staff member in the discord for specific repair or replacement questions.
